Boar’s Head Festival

Join The Waterbury Chorale as we continue our 50th Anniversary Celebration with a fun musical festival of familiar holiday favorites. The Boar’s Head Festival is one of the oldest continuing Christmas festivals. The boar was a terrifying beast in the forests of England during the Middle Ages. Early Christians would celebrate the triumph of the Christ Child over sin by serving boar as the first dish at a Christmas feast. These festivals continue to this day through the UK and North America during the Christmas Season. This year’s Boar’s Head Festival will be held at The Shrine of Saint Anne on January 8th, 2017, with snow date on January 15th, 2017.

Be sure to save the date for this fun event celebrating the close of the end of the Christmas season.
